We have an opportunity for a Sr Engineering Managerto join our Aerospace team in Christchurch.

Sr. Engineering Manager responsibilities

· Lead the team (UK, Germany, Czech) responsible for being product focused and adding value by changing the current design to support business objectives

· Ensure a disciplined and data driven approach is utilized for technical decisions

· Develop and implement a Management Operating System (MOS) to drive effective communication, interface, and execution of product engineering tasks and responsibilities between GES team, ISC Aftermarket Operations and GBE’s

· Drive Product cost takeout through Value Engineering and Workscope standardization for both OEM and Aftermarket operations, which includes day to day Product technical support.

· Drive Value Creation Process (VCP) projects, which includes developing ORI design repairs and undertaking ARB product disposition

· Lead Engine and APU Phase 6 Class II design authority signatory team, which includes creation of external customer submittal documents for ECNs and TECOs and undertake OEM MRB RMRA and QN product disposition.

· Participate in design assessment for product design changes, which includes manufacturability and repairability improvements

· Support Supplier Transformation Product Engineers and COE to determine FAIR substantiation requirements

· Support ISC Engineering scope and complete complex DMAIC producibility improvement projects

Qualifications

· BS in Engineering or relevant technical discipline

· Extensive engineering experience

· Workign experience within the Aerospace industry

· Experience working with Aircraft Component in roles of escalating responsibility

· Experience in change management projects

· Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to interface with all professional and technical disciplines within a repair environment
