Head of Property Management, Executive Director - EMEA

Morgan Stanley Corporate Services Division

Comprised of a vast array of business units that keep Morgan Stanley working efficiently.

They range from managing Morgan Stanley’s global real estate portfolio to overseeing its business continuity strategy, Global Security program, and global workforce strategy.

Whether booking airline tickets, conducting market research, planning to expand into a new location or preparing a presentation, employees rely on Corporate Services for the support they need.

Its business units oversee mail, copier and fax services, desktop publishing, website design, print materials, and gift items. Corporate Services manages our offices, power and plumbing, our cafeterias and catering, not to mention managing large-scale architectural and construction projects

As the Head of Property Management you will report to the Global Head of Property Management;

You will responsible for the Project Management, Engineering Design, Property Services and Amenities services delivery across the EMEA portfolio.

You will develop and manage the regional operation in support of Global Property Management goals and strategy. Ensure that all services to Business Units and Clients are carried out in a complete and competent manner. And ensure that business guidelines are adhered to in every aspect that all services are competitively sourced at true market position with corresponding value-for-money, and that business is awarded in accordance with commercial whole life cost principles.

Key responsibilities

* Develop and manage the regional operation in support of Global Property Management goals and strategy

* Responsible for all Property Management functional areas and act as point escalation all Property Management issues to internal Business Units, ensuring effective control and quality service delivery to Morgan Stanley’s portfolio and business.

* Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, manage operating and project budgets.

* Manage Morgan Stanley’s Property Management commercial and operational activities and assist with long term strategic planning.

* Work closely with the Heads of Real Estate & Location Strategy and Portfolio & Transaction Management to ensure end to end delivery of projects, plus Workplace Evolution and portfolio Optimization initiatives.

* Ensure that the Project Management team follow due process with regard to feasibility studies, design implementation, construction and handover.

* Manage the Health & Safety programme to ensure full compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.

* Support the Workplace Evolution initiative by providing all ongoing support to deliver on improving the employee experience

* Manage and control all aspects of financial expenditure for Morgan Stanley’s Property Management budgets, working closely with Financial Controllers.

* Manage the Firm’s exposure to business risk by continuously reviewing operational and maintenance procedures to eliminate single points of failure and the adequacy of disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications required:

* Qualified to degree standard or higher in a Project Management, Facilities Management or Engineering discipline with demonstrable experience within complex Property Management.

* Previous experience in Investment Banking/Financial Services or Critical System environmental would be advantageous.

* Strong technical skills in Project Management, Facilities Management or Engineering.

* Strong vendor management skills, particularly in relationship to managing performance based contract and developing strategic alliance/partnership with facilities management services providers.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal and client service skills.

* Demonstrate sound approach to dealing with crisis management.
