What’s in it for you!

* The opportunity to work on some of the most sophisticated engineering products in the sector
* The opportunity to develop and grow into broader engineering subject areas (analogue, digital, RF optical, ESS, power and more)
* Career progression opportunities to more senior engineering roles and beyond
* The ability to specialise in certain fields

The Role

This role involves performing a range of tasks in support of the more experienced Production Design Support Engineers across the product set that they support. These tasks will be carried out in accordance with all relevant processes, quality and other requirements. They will include:

* Working within highly skilled teams contributing to the design, development and deployment of a wide spectrum of leading edge test equipment systems, providing test solutions for MBDA product sub-assemblies, units, and systems, from product development phases through to manufacturing testing and trials
* Collaborating closely with various teams in the manufacturing facility at Bolton and the design teams at Stevenage
* Participating and contributing to all aspects of MBDA test systems with respect to new innovations, developments, manufacturing capability, quality and design decision gate reviews, including design for test and test requirements definition.
* Support, develop and deliver new design and modifications to existing test systems for a variety of test equipment programmes (including live missile testing).
* Provide technical support on test systems; to project teams, manufacturing teams, customer support functions and customers directly.
* Writing technical reports and keeping a log of investigation work for self-reference and for the reference of others.

Join a great team!

The Production Design Support team is a multi-skilled team of interdependent, highly capable and committed individuals. They are the crucial link between design and manufacturing and must use all of their experience, technical, and personal capabilities to collaborate with both areas of the business, where time and cost pressures often cause rifts in the interface that must be carefully handled for success. The team is friendly, supportive, encouraging and is respected throughout the manufacturing and design organisations.

* A small team working in a larger group creates a fantastic local atmosphere with a good level of support and challenge
* You will be working in a brand-new bespoke production facility with a modern environment and the opportunity to develop new tools, techniques and processes
* A group working within a leading company, offers all the benefits that a large company can bring. Scope for development, competitive benefits package, good local support, and a great atmosphere.
