Working in Amey Consulting Property Design, you'll get the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors of the construction market. We deliver projects to a wide range of customers, including the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Ministry of Justice (MOJ), Local Authorities, Highways England, Transport for London, Transport of Greater Manchester, Education, Transport for Wales (Network Rail), Housing and Utilities sectors.

We are involved in mechanical and electrical design incorporating innovation technologies. This includes Electrical Vehicle Charging, installing air and ground source heat pumps and Photovoltaics.

About your Degree Apprenticeship Programme:

We are partnering with Liverpool John Moore University to offer an opportunity to join our Building Services Design Engineer Degree Apprenticeship Programme where you’ll gain a BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering Degree at the same time as getting real experience on the job and working on projects within Amey Consulting. The programme provides the perfect opportunity to kick start your career.

As a Degree Apprentice at Amey, you’ll be involved in a wide range of projects and have lots of opportunities to apply the skills and knowledge you gain during your degree. You’ll feel inspired to challenge yourself, as well as your colleagues. You’ll have the opportunity to thrive and we’ll help you shape your career.

* A fully funded five-year BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering degree course backed by on the job vocational training

* A competitive starting salary (£19760 per year) rising in line with your progress and achievements

* Experience of working as part of a small specialist team based in Manchester and collaborating with wider, multi-disciplinary teams on project opportunities throughout the UK

* A structured programme of targeted training and development activities, designed to complement what you will learn at university and whilst working

What are we looking for:

* Available to join the programme in September 2021

* Passion for developing your skills both professional and personally

* A commitment to complete a five-year degree course whilst working

* The drive to complete the end point assessment

* Qualification requirements –112 UCAS Points. Gained either via:

* 3 A-Levels Grade A*-C (or equivalent). Must include Maths and a Science plus one other OR

* Completion of Level 3 Apprenticeship/BTEC Diploma (in a related Engineering Discipline).
