About the Role
We are looking for an Electrical Building Services Engineer, with proven experience in the design of electrical systems taken from a concept through to detailed design (BSRIA BG6 Stage 4A) to complement the Building Services Design team in our Leeds office. As well as undertaking electrical design work you will work with senior staff assisting in surveys, design, drawings and specifications for projects working with other team members as part of an overall project team. You will utilise Building Services software for calculations and produce drawings, specify products, equipment and installation standards and attend design meetings and workshops as well as client meetings in conjunction with more senior staff.
Ideally you will be an Incorporated Electrical (Building Services) Engineer (IET or CIBSE) or are working towards Chartership. You will possess good experience in designing electrical systems including low voltage electrical distribution from incoming supply to final circuit to BS7671; internal, external and emergency lighting to CIBSE Lighting guides; small power and fixed power; power supplies for mechanical and fixed power supplies; fire alarm and detection; ICT structured cabling and cable containment designs.
Suitable candidates will understand Building Regulations Part L compliance. You will be able to view and interpret drawings in AutoCAD as well as possess working knowledge of Amtech as well as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience of security systems/CCTV, intruder alarm and access control is advantageous as well as knowledge of wiring requirements for BS7671 Section 710 medical locations and nurse calling system design.
