Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) is a strategic business unit within the Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT) business unit of Honeywell International. HPS improves the safety, reliability, efficiency and sustainability of industrial facilities on every continent around the world. With more than 12,000 employees in 120 countries, HPS offers a full range of industry-leading automation and control solutions and advanced software applications to key vertical industries, including oil & gas, mining, refining, pulp & paper, power, chemical, electricity distribution and renewables, and life sciences.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our engineering teams within our projects group to deliver Honeywell’s renewable energy and energy storage projects. You can be based in either of the Honeywell projects group locations of Bracknell, Berkshire or Newhouse, Scotland.

Responsibilities

· Be technically responsible for delivering projects reporting into the Honeywell project manager.

· Ensure that the project technical requirements and solutions are fully defined, agreed and implemented

· Ensure that required design prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule etc.) are in place.

· Ensure that the engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, applicable standards and quality.

· Monitor and report on your own assigned against the project plan, ensure effective change control and identify risks / opportunities;

· Ensure that work assignments and sub-contracted work scopes are executed to appropriate technical requirements, standards and quality systems;

· Have good communication skills;

Qualifications

· An engineering degree in Electrical Engineering and ideally be at chartered status.

· Experience in the design and implementation of UK grid connected electrical distribution and renewable energy storage systems in the renewable energy sector

· Carry the appropriate Authorised Person certification. (440v generally).

· Experience in technically leading electrical distribution engineering projects dealing directly with customers and project design life cycles.

· Ability to produce technical design and verification specifications and provide technical support and expertise for the project team.

· Experience working as a technical interface with 3rd party suppliers to assure correct integration of 3rd party systems or solutions.

· Understanding of standards such as IEC, BS, G99, local DNO standards
