Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking to hire Electrical Engineer to be based at Croydon.

We are currently recruiting an Electrical Engineer in Building Services to join our multi-disciplinary team in Croydon Office, London . We are looking for people who demonstrate drive and motivation, a willingness to learn about our sector, and a desire to deliver an excellent service to our clients.

We offer excellent training and development opportunities to support you towards obtaining professional status.

Job Details:

*

Undertaking condition surveys, site inspections and feasibility reports.

*

Design calculations, e.g. small power, lighting design, cable calculations, demand assessments, (Amtech, Dialux/ Relux).

*

Prepare specifications, schedules, drawings and any other contract documents developed through the RIBA stages.

*

Working as part of a wider professional team, e.g. Building surveyors, mechanical engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors etc.

*

Able to work independently and as part of a team both locally and nationally.

*

Attend progress, design team and coordinate meetings.

*

Prepare outline scheme report / technical content of the design information.

*

Input to pre-qualification and selection of contractors, respond to tender queries, comment and review tender returns.

*

Attend tender / client interviews. Attend site inspection meetings.

*

Ensure the project work complies with the Project Management Plan and Program.

*

Understand and implement AECOM’s Safety Health and Environment Policy.

Minimum Requirements

* Preference for a Master’s degree in Electrical Building Services Engineering, or Engineering Science, at 2.1 or above, however strong Bachelor’s degrees in these subjects will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

*

Be educated to at least degree level or equivalent, in an Electrical Engineering accredited degree.

*

Have been actively working as a graduate or assistant Electrical engineer for at least 3 years since graduation,Hold a full driving license.

*

Have good IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, AutoCAD LT, Amtech , Dialux/ Relux & other bespoke).

*

Have good time management and prioritisation skills - delivers quality work within immovable deadlines.

*

Have an open willingness to ask questions.

*

Work with focus, minimal supervision and enthusiasm.

*

Have an ability to think clearly and make reasoned decisions, explaining the logic employed.

*

Be a flexible individual, capable of working as part of a regional team, able to adapt to different work practices.

*

Be a good communicator with high levels of numeracy and literacy.
