Balfour Beatty currently have opportunities for Driver Operator Maintainers to join our Rail Plant team based across the South East to carry out the operation of specialist plant working on the Network Rail Infrastructure.
Offering a competitive package with excellent overtime opportunities, this role would suit a qualified Train Driver with Route Knowledge and Mechanical experience.
What you'll be doing
In this varied and interesting role you will work to improve the Track Geometry of the track design, using our extensive On Track Machine (OTM) Fleet. This will range from Plain Line Services and Switch and Crossing (S&C) machinery.
Who we're looking for
To be successful in this role you will:
* Hold a current UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
* Be a qualified train driver with a good safety record
* Be experienced in the operation of on track plant, or with an ability and willingness to learn
* Be able to carry out minor maintenance and repairs
* Have a good awareness of railway health and safety requirements, particularly as they relate to train operations
