Job Summary

Our St Albans, Hertfordshire, South East, Hertfordshire, South East office is currently seeking a full time Digital MEP Co-ordinator to join a busy and expanding Building Services team. (M&E)

The St Albans, Hertfordshire, South East office is a multidisciplinary office offering a variety of consultancy services ranging from Building Engineering, Project Management, Transportation and other specialist services. The role would also provide support for our office in Cambridge.

It is a friendly, busy and motivated office with over 450 staff which has an established track record of successfully delivering local and overseas projects and some of our flagship work in recent years include; Al Wakrah stadium project in Qatar, Sports Venues for 2016 Olympics in Brazil, and St Pancras Chambers Hotel in London to name a few.

Responsibilities:

*

Modelling and co-ordination of MEP systems on projects using Autodesk Revit (MEP) for producing services zones, primary and secondary distribution, plantrooms, risers and associated annotations

*

Setting out MEP plant and systems to allow for appropriate access and maintenance allowance

*

Interface with collaboration and design review tools such as; Autodesk Navisworks Manage, BIM360, BIMcollab, BIM Track, BIMXtra, Revizto

*

Apply BIM protocols and industry standards as required within MEP models

*

Manage a set up projects and their models following the agreed formats and managing the interface between AECOM offices and any external parties

*

Attend project workshops as required related to BIM process and design review meetings

*

Project delivery, management of modelling duties, co-ordinate with modelling teams and ensure integration & collaboration of modelling information with other disciplines

*

Obtain the necessary information both internally and externally from other disciplines and design consultants

*

Implement quality control and ensure adherence to standards with consistency of approach and output of project deliverables

*

Be proactive in suggesting and implementing efficiency initiatives and working to automate drawing and design processes in the Revit environment.

*

Ensure all deadlines are met and assisting other team colleagues

*

Occasionally required to produce / modify 2D drawings

*

Provide training to junior members of staff and engineers to enhance their abilities for working in Revit and developing others to become co-ordinators.

*

Help set up company standards and maintain them.

*

You will also be responsible to liaise and manage the project drawing production between the UK and one of our Global Design Centres

Minimum Requirements

*

An excellent working knowledge of Autodesk Revit (MEP) with a proven track record and experience of delivering major design projects

*

A robust knowledge of Building Services Engineering and MEP co-ordination skills

*

Advance knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks Manage for clash detection / digital design review

*

Interested in using design tools to enable more efficient and accurate production of project deliverables

*

A working understanding of industry BIM standards and requirements including; BSRIA BG6, RIBA plan of work, LOD (LOD & LOI) / BS1192 / PAS1192 etc

*

Be willing to develop the use of scripting and possible Dynamo programming etc to bring efficiencies in drawing and design production

*

Good teamwork & communication skills

*

A British Passport would be an advantage (but not essential) as we have a number of projects that require different levels of security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

*

Autodesk Certified Professional; Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage

*

HNC / HND Building Services Engineering

*

Knowledge collaboration / design review tools such as; BIM360, BIMcollab, BIM Track, BIMXtra & Revizto

*

Dynamo knowledge / experience will be an advantage
