JOB TITLE: Diagnostic Client Architecture SME
SALARY: £45,000 - £52,000
POSTING END DATE: 26/02/2021
LOCATION: Coventry
We’re re-examining our vehicles and what a vehicle means in the emerging world of automation, connectedness, electrification and the shared economy. New ideas, new technology, and new approaches to mobility are our business. Join a team of next generation thinkers.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Using current and future industry platform standards as reference, the diagnostic platform architect will be responsible for authoring and maintaining the OEM specific system architecture design and detailed technical standards which are applicable to the diagnostic tester tooling. The diagnostic platform architect will collaborate with internal and external tester development teams to identify the optimal tester tooling design to satisfy the needs of engineering, manufacturing, aftersales diagnostic tester tooling. The diagnostic platform will then be responsible to take this design and define detailed technical requirements which must be implemented by the respective tool owners.
Once the diagnostic tester tool requirements have been cascaded and agreed with development team, the diagnostic platform architect will be responsible for the continual update and improvement of these requirements against the face of changing input requirements and development in the industry standard tool offerings.
As the diagnostic platform architect, you will be a subject matter expert in the correct design and operation of diagnostic tester tooling design within the OEM and be required to interface with internal and external tool development teams to ensure the design and operation targets are met.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll need experience of working within a development environment where the Diagnostic Test Tools utilise Open Data Exchange data input format
You’ll have Knowledge of specifying or implementing diagnostic test tool software architecture; evidenced by a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within projects which delivered OEM or Aftermarket Diagnostic Test Tools to market
In addition to this you’ll also have working experience in industry standard Diagnostic Test Tool standards including D-PDU API and standardised D-Server API
You’ll have previous experience of successfully leading external teams in the delivery of project objective
You’ll also have experience of defining technical requirements; evidenced by a minimum of 1 year’s work experience within a project as a lead engineer
SO WHY US?
Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
