Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join
our team at ASCO Power Technologies as a Design Engineer that will be working
in our site at Stamford, UK and
reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

ASCO (Automatic
Switch Company) Power Technologies is a
business unit of Schneider Electric that manufactures and sells transfer
switches, power control systems, surge protection devices, load banks and
industrial control products for business-critical continuity.

ASCO Loadbank are
world leaders in the design and manufacture of power test equipment.
Established in 1947 ASCO Loadbank (N J Froment & Co Ltd) are accredited to
BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and have a rich history of providing best-in-class
precision engineered products.

Your Mission:

will be responsible for the design and implementation of the software systems
for load banks and dynamometers.

Your main responsibilities


for day-to-day engineering design work requiring the application of standard techniques,
procedures, and criteria in carrying out the complex design of software for
systems and embedded devices for load banks and dynamometers.


requirement and design documents, including new product development.


and manage technical documentation including detailed design packages and
generates any test procedures and technical manuals required with the product.


sales in making sales calls, customer contacts, and training programs.
Manufacturing in the methods of assembly and use of test equipment and in final
test. Supports the service department in the installation and trouble-shooting
of products in the field. Assists in
training service personnel.


Keeps abreast and well-informed on new
developments germane to ASCO load banks products and systems through codes and
standards, technical conferences, professional societies and communications
with suppliers and customers within the industry.


Maintain Company standards, behaving in an
ethical and professional manner in all business activities

About you:


You should be a self-motivated and
enthusiastic person.


Solid organizational and interpersonal skills.


Excellent communication
and presentation skills.


You must have
knowledge and experience of embedded microcontroller systems and firmware.


Languages and
tools: QT, C, C++, change control and software testing


Microsoft Visual
Studio would be advantageous
