DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS

COWI are looking for a Deputy Development Director, who can be based at any one of our office in either London, Bristol, Derby, York or Glasgow. The initial programme is in the south east of England and will include regular attendance on site and at the project management offices in central London.

Reporting into the DCO Application Project Manager and working closely with the DCO Production Managers, Project Controls, Document Controls and Graphis Design teams, you'll be responsible for assisting in the production of DCO documents. You'll also be tasked with maintaining the DCO deliverables production programme while building relationships with deliverable owners, authors and reviewers.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for:

* Ensuring the appropriate Assurance process is followed at all deliverables production stages

* Coordinating with Authors and Reviewers to ensure documents’ status sheets/comment sheets are kept up to date and reflect the audit for governance and review processes

* Building an interactive deliverables production tracker (excel and / or Power BI) as one of the main tools to manage the production and delivery of the DCO products

* Generating automated reporting dashboards

* Preparing visual management outputs to allow for the efficient identification and management of production risks and blockers as appropriate

* Producing training material on how to use the deliverables tracker to support the consistent and correct application and implementation of the tool by the project team

* Supporting Reviewers to plan their resourcing

* Lean Production Management skills (Last Planner System, Collaborative Planning, Visual Management, etc)

* Previous examples of exercising sound judgement, leading and facilitating decision making on complex issues among multiple parties

* The ability to be able to work across diverse stakeholders

* Experience of working in a major infrastructure project in a similar industry and to working in a matrix and dispersed team

* The ability to influence all levels in an organization to produce timely documents etc.

* Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
