A vacancy for a Cyber Security Practitioner has arisen within Airbus CyberSecurity at a key client site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. As successful candidate, you will be the Airbus CyberSecurity representative at the client’s main IS centre in Huntingdon. You will provide security advice to the customer to improve security operations and reduce risk profile. This role covers elements of consultancy and day to day operations.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

1. Consultancy and Continual Improvement:

* Proactively providing documented recommendations that mitigate identified security risks to the client
* Proactively providing security advice to the client on application architecture, technology selection, methodologies and tools, application design and implementation relating to any system, software, process, routine or data
* Arranging and chairing regular security technology briefings with relevant security key vendors and the client’s cyber security personnel

2. Change Management:

* Reviewing all changes within the security domain, including project designs, new or enhanced services and business as usual change
* Being responsible for the approval or denial of changes from a security perspective based on the client’s security requirements and industry best practice

3. Risk Assessment:

* Ensuring risk assessments are undertaken on projects to identify threats and weaknesses in the IT and OT environments and submitting reports to the client’s cyber security management
* Providing expertise to the ISTP with their review of firewall rules and changes to ensure they do not increase the risk profile of the client

4. Attend monthly security review meetings:

* Representing the Airbus Cyber SOC service concerning performance and availability KPI’s, recent IT incidents, trends and service improvement opportunities
* Collating and briefing on relevant metrics and findings
* Working with a ‘one team’ mantra to identify service improvement opportunities with all key stakeholders delivering security for the customer

Required skills

You have the following skills and experience:

* Educated to a degree level (or equivalent) in IT, IT Security, Engineering or a related discipline
* Several years of experience working within a cyber security environment
* Understanding of IT and OT environments
* Knowledgeable in ITILv3
* Knowledgeable in Security Best Practice (covering ISO27001, ISA62443, PCI, GDPR, NIST, CIS Controls) and Cyber Security Risk Management (SANS Management 415 or equivalent)
* An eye for detail
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Ability to present at all levels within an organisation
* Good customer relationship management skills with a technical and commercial understanding
* Ability to coordinate activity within different groups
* You’re a team player, who is able to get the best out of people
* Fluent English

The following elements are desirable:

* CISSP or 5 years’ experience as a Cyber Security Practitioner
* SANS SEC401/501 – Security Essentials/Advanced Security Essentials (or equivalent)
* CESG Certified Professional (CCP)
* SANS ICS410, ICS Syber Security and SCADA Security Essentials (or equivalent)

This role will involve some travel for business.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities.
