Customer Service Technician. The clue's in the name...

The practical part of your new role will be to plan and execute network isolations to allow access to our below ground network. You'll be doing this all year round so should be prepared for all the joys that the UK weather has to offer. You'll also be responsible for investigating reports of visible leaks however, this role is much more than just the practical side.
Whether you're visiting customers in their homes or chatting to members of the public, you'll be providing a top-class experience to the customers that you deal with day to day so you should be someone who gets a buzz off putting a smile on someone's face and helping make their day a little better. You'll be someone who can think on your feet as you respond to customers' questions and also able to explain and educate them about the work you're doing.
Although your main focus will be on keeping the customers happy, you'll also understand the importance of giving them realistic timescales for the completion of jobs. You'll be well aware that over promising and under delivering is more likely to cause problems down the line; you should do what you say you're going to do.
You should be proactive in your approach to customers, not reactive, and you'll do this by keeping them informed throughout their journey rather than waiting for them to call in with questions and causing unnecessary contact.
