Job Specification

Click to DownloadAs a Customer Service Advisor within Developer Services at Affinity Water, you'll play a vital role in managing the developer customer journey, acting as the key point of contact through various channels of communication and providing a positive, proactive and empathetic service throughout.

What's involved?

The reality of the role is that it's a call centre environment, which means managing a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls each day. However as the team is only small, there’s a great opportunity to build relationships with your customers and get that real sense of reward when you make someone’s day.

We’re not scripted here; we know that all of our customers have different needs and require slightly different styles of communication. As an Advisor, you'll rise to this challenge and demonstrate your flexibility and adaptability, especially when dealing with unhappy customers. The exciting challenge that comes with the role is that no two calls will be the same and you can expect lots of variety in your work.

What do you need?

You'll recognise the importance of quality customer care and you'll strive to make things easy for them along the way. You’re someone who is proactive and acts with integrity by doing what you say you will.

You'll have experience working in a similar customer-focused environment and you'll be ready to apply your excellent telephone manner and written communication skills to a new, exciting challenge.

As well as managing calls, you’ll also have some administrative tasks including data entry, reporting and managing customer requests, and so you’ll be proficient in using core IT programs including MS Excel and Outlook.

What’s in it for you?

To acknowledge all of your exceptional work, you’ll be entitled to host of benefits including a double-matching SMART pension scheme, career development opportunities and training, and a holiday allowance that increases with length of service. So the longer you stay, the more you gain.

Got what it takes?

Get involved in the story behind your drinking water and play a valuable role in Affinity Water’s vision to be the leading community-focused water company.
