Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The MP&L function interacts with all areas of Jaguar Land Rover including Product Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Aftermarket, Sales and Marketing and controls and manages the Global end to end supply chain from sales and operations planning, material management and control through the manufacturing plants to the end delivery of the vehicle to the dealer network and ultimately to the customer.

The Controls Engineering Supervisor will join a small, new, highly skilled team of engineering staff within the Global MP&L function. Your expertise will help ensure success across a wide range of Engineering projects, from small scale changes on legacy equipment at any one of JLR’s manufacturing sites, through to large scale transformation projects such as the delivery of the Solihull Logistics Operations Centre (LOC), delivering significant cost benefit to the business. The Controls Engineering Supervisor will play a significant part in JLR’s move toward greater levels of automation across its Logistics business, including but not limited to Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV’s), Automated Storage (ASRS) and Intelligent Pick Systems. Whilst the role will require input to a wide range of engineering programs, the focus will prioritise controls standards for Automation supporting the move toward JLR becoming a leader in the digital world (IoT, Industry 4.0, Big Data, and Connected Systems).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll have experience of working with or specifying industrial controls, including bus/networking systems. You’ll have experience of supporting extensive facility change programmes in relevant fields of automotive, engineering, automated logistics or manufacturing. You’ll have the ability to deep dive complex issues and adopt problem resolution techniques in high pressure environments.

You’ll have proven ability to work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the MP&L strategy. You’ll be commercially astute with budget management experience of over £1m within engineering projects

SO WHY US?

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

JLR considers that this role does not meet the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list. Therefore, JLR will not support an application for visa sponsorship and all applicants for this role must have an unrestricted right to work for an indefinite period in the UK.
