About the role

As the Contract Manager you will develop, define and achieve sound contractual partnering arrangements, deploying appropriate professional teams to support the arrangements and leading on negotiations to maximise National Grid’s commercial advantage and ensuring suppliers perform to the contractual agreements. Supporting the development and implementation of appropriate commercial strategies, you will play a central role in eliminating preventable value loss and ensuring contract delivery.

You will design and maintaining best in class contract management processes and provide specialist commercial support to other teams / projects within as and when required for specific projects with which they are involved.

About you

You will have a Degree or equivalent and experience of setting up, negotiating and managing supplier contractual arrangements.

With customer management experience and a strong track record of influencing customers and partner organisations, you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be capable of leading and influencing a large devolved team.

You will have the ability to analyse KPIs and contract data, and to manage contract performance and support commercial decision making.
