Position Title Communications Assistant

AECOM is looking to recruit a career focussed, motivated Communications Assistant to join the team based from one of our offices in the South East.
The Communications Assistant will be responsible for the execution of marketing and communications activities for the Delivering Procurement Services for Aid (DPSA) project.
The role is the main point of contact in the DPSA MarComms team for collateral development, production and stock management; event planning; and execution of customer satisfaction surveys.
Job Duties Include:
Strategy and planning. Assist with the preparation of an annual marcomms activity plan, to deliver sustainable brand equity (particularly awareness and image/reputation).
Execution of marcomms plan. Work with members of the DPSA team to identify collateral needs; develop collateral as approved and provide monthly collateral stock reports. Assist with all event planning and the execution of customer satisfaction surveys, and support the work of other members of the MarComms team as required.
KPIs, metrics and evaluation. Assist with monitoring and reporting for communications campaigns against agreed KPIs and metrics. Produce post-activity evaluations for events against agreed KPIs and metrics and capture learnings for future event planning.
Insight and knowledge management. Undertake desk research as required, to address insight and knowledge gaps. Assist with maintaining the MarComms filing system, both electronic (Box) and hard copy.
Financial. Monitor and report on expenditure for collateral and events and provide status reports as needed. Responsible for the monthly collateral stock management report and identifying reprint needs. No profit responsibility.
To be successful in this role we want to hear from candidates with experience in communications or brand management, in the international development sector, FMCG, communications agency or a management consultancy.
You will posses the following experience / knowledge;
Development and execution of marketing activities:
Understands the roles of different elements of the marketing mix;
Experience of executing communications and engagement activities;
Editing and proof-reading for internal communications;
Tracking and reporting of activity KPIs and metrics.
Experience of managing content for social media platforms, particularly Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Understands the difference between quantitative and qualitative research techniques;
Analysis of data and information for post-activity evaluations.
Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Bachelor’s degree in any subject; minimum second-class.
