Commercial Insight Analyst

Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

The analyst will work with the commercial manager and alongside marketing, sales and finance teams to drive revenue and design go to market strategies to ensure revenue maximisation and make recommendations across all business areas.

This person will need to work closely with existing data science team, marketing, retention, pricing, data, tech teams to define and implement customer insight and analytics tools, capabilities, tracking (with involvement from key partners across the organisation)

The analyst will lead on all insight regarding trials, incentives and promotions and work with the commercial manager to deliver presentations in a clear and concise manner with recommended actions to be taken.

What will I be doing?

The role is very varied which is why it may be perfect for an analyst who is looking to gain vital exposure to various teams and projects.

* Analysing customer and performance data using Google Big Query
* Communicating key insights directly to senior partners from a non-technical background
* Conducting insight, testing business hypotheses
* Analysis of various segmented campaigns across acquisition and retention.
* Conducting analysis to provide measurable insight to support a variety of business objectives across CLV, revenue and commercial targets.
* Using your insight to tell a story with the data and support in strategic decision making
* Identifying which data sources are needed and actively driving the analysis across a range of projects
* Presenting your findings back across to senior stakeholders in the business with confidence
* You will be working with all product marketing managers, data scientists and the various tech teams as well as the wider commercial teams.

Ideally you will have:

* Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, Economics or related field from a leading university
* Proficient in SQL / Python or Google Big Query
* Experience in a commercial role with a focus on customer insight and marketing data
* Using insights to help businesses better understand the customer lifecycle and how they can use insights to optimise their marketing focus.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate to tech and non-tech audiences
* ETL skills including experience using Tableau or similar visualization tool
* Experience working with data and analytics in a commercial environment

Deliver deep dive analytics into BAU performance to help drive business insights and ultimately drive improved business decision making.

Deep dive analytics to cover but not limited to:

* Retention
* Acquisition
* Smart Metering
* Additional Products
* CLV performance
