• ensure workflows, processes, tooling and applications are of the highest quality and make recommendations for improvements

• embrace new technologies, foster new ideas, pilot and evolve them into guiding principles of delivery
• think and act strategically, pushing things forward to deliver outstanding solutions for our clients

Your team

You’ll be working in the Finance, Risk and Analytics Service (FRAS) Technology team in London on the strategic redesign of our platforms on Azure Cloud. You will as part of the Common Service and Platforms team under the FRAS CTO organization alongside other talented women and men to bring the benefits of the latest technology to solve complex business problems in a sustainable and innovative ways. Our team offers:
• being a part of a major transformational program in the leading international financial organization
• collaboration with other architects (solution / domain / business) to enable opportunities for re-use across the stack, helping to bring down the TCO whilst reducing lead time

Your expertise

• a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science/ Engineering/ Science
• 5+ years' experience in cloud development, infrastructure, IT service management, preferably in finance or banking area
• hands on architect with proven track record of designing and leading software development
• significant experience of transitioning On-prem big data platforms to the Cloud
• deep knowledge of Cloud and specifically Azure technologies (Spark, Scala, Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage)
• strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• strong team player with high work ethic and a good set of soft skills to ensure proper people management experience for the team
• delivery focused, pro-active personality, conscientious and resilient
• proven track of Agile software delivery practices
