Two exciting new technical roles have arisen as we continue to invest in our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) business, for Clinical Development Specialists (one to cover the identified accounts in the Northern half of the UK, the other the South) working alongside the Business Development Managers North & South.

These are technical support positions to accelerate the increase of Abbott CRM market share in competitor/low market share accounts, entrenching our technology in alignment with sales strategy in the account. The CDS will be a clinical expert, enhancing customer understanding and utilisation of all CRM products to create improved customer and patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Core responsibilities:

Having a clear understanding of the 2018/2019 CRM go to market growth strategy, and their role in developing the CRM business.
Execute strategic account plans in alignment with the Business Development Manager.
Improve customer understanding and utilisation of all CRM products to create improved customer & patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Full account training responsibility, and additional specialist education responsibilities for Abbott CRM technologies.
Responsibility when appropriate to facilitate greater involvement and engagement of the local CRM Field Technical Engineer/Territory Manager into the account during clinical trial use period.
Account handover to local CRM FTE/TM in post-trial phase.
Support sales team in engaging trial use of Abbott CRM technology.
Back up to core team of FTEs where required.
Roll out of any future LMR/NTA and clinical projects.
Clear and concise communication across peer group, to management, marketing and education.
Feedback to Business Development Manager/Regional Sales Manager/Marketing on all CRM product and follow up tools to ensure broader CRM functional support can be utilised to support the customer and patients in creating improved patient and customer experience.

Suitable candidates will ideally hold a relevant degree and must have extensive experience in a CRM technical role, alongside an IBHRE/BHRS accreditation. They must be proficient in the use and optimal programming of Abbott CRM products, with a solid knowledge of the UK healthcare market. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to travel extensively within the region.
