Profile

Schneider
Electric is seeking a software engineer with strong C# experience to join its
ClearSCADA development group based at the Coventry office. The main
responsibility of the role is to develop, extend and support Schneider
Electric’s ClearSCADA product to meet new market and user
requirements. The team uses agile development techniques.

ClearSCADA
is an advanced wide area telemetry SCADA package with proprietary online
database, extensive support for telemetry and integrated graphics package. It
is used in large wide area monitoring of assets and plant, for example
monitoring water networks for water authorities.

We
are looking primarily for a developer that has had UI experience; this role
would involve writing software to add to our ClearSCADA offering which would
include updating and maintaining the ClearSCADA desktop client, updating and
maintain the ClearSCADA web client. Whilst this will be a primarily
UI focussed role, gaining an understand of the ClearSCADA server works will be essential.

An
enthusiastic candidate new to professional software development would also be
considered if they have a strong desire to learn and develop their skills.

The
successful candidate will be trained in ClearSCADA and then initially spend
time developing smaller features and fixing bugs. Over time this
will progress to include larger development tasks. For example,
adding new features to the web or desktop client.

This role enjoys a salary of up to £45,000
pa depending on background and past experience.
