The Amey Apprenticeship Programme
Our Amey Apprenticeship Programme provides all of the skills, experience and support required to kick start your career, or to branch out in a new direction! From the beginning of your programme you’ll have full exposure to all elements of your chosen role, giving you the best opportunity to learn from experience. Whilst working, you’ll undertake a nationally recognised qualification; providing the theoretical background to your work. At Amey we strongly support the development of our people; we therefore offer you a permanent contract from day one.
Amey has successfully secured a number of new contracts in Scotland, and we are seeking to recruit Apprentices, to assist in the delivery of these exciting and challenging new projects. You will be tasked with helping deliver high-profile and ambitious programmes, guided by some of the most knowledgeable engineering experts in the UK.
What will this role involve?
You will be responsible for assisting the Engineering Team with the production of design solutions whilst supporting with reporting and administration duties. The Civil Engineering Apprentice will be enrolled onto our Higher level apprenticeship and study part time towards a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Civil Engineering.
• Supporting Engineers with inspection work, cost estimating and quality assurance
• Assisting with the production of drawings
• Supporting with the administration and reporting of projects
• Working with IT software
• Completing a part time BSc Hons in Environmental Civil Engineering

• A-level (or equivalent) A* - C
• Commitment to studying towards a nationally recognised qualification
• Excellent teamwork skills
• A willingness to learn and keen to progress
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks
