Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity in Cambridge, UK for a University student to work within our Central Engineering Quality and Project Operations team. The role has close involvement with both Engineering and Project Management teams, with potential for the successful candidate to help shape their placement according to their interests, goals and expertise. The role will support the central alignment and implementation of project management methodology, tools, and best practice across Central Engineering and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.

Role Snapshot

This role covers a wide range of duties spanning classic project and operations management assignments, as well as an introduction to quality and engineering activities.

The following are typical activities:

* Gather/update information for resource planning for project and risk management purposes.
* Support project teams to define and implement new project/team workflows and checklists to support efficient and consistent delivery processes.
* Contribute to various meetings and regularly communicate with stakeholders at a variety of levels.
The position is usually filled by students following a Business Studies or Computing related degree who want a career in a leading software or hardware organisation. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is a strong team player, fast learner and confident communicator. Training and full support will be provided throughout the duration of the placement.

Job Requirements

* Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Other O365 tools would be beneficial but not essential.
* Ability and willingness to learn how to use unfamiliar tools and systems.
