About the role

Full time, fixed term 12 month contract
Location: Birmingham, Reading, Sheffield, or Bradford travel expectations nationally for this position
Salary: up to £60,000, depending on experience + car allowance or company car

As the Property Capital Projects Manager you will be working as part of our Property, Facilities & Fleet (PF&F) team you will be supporting the Head of FM and Projects to plan and deliver projects works across a diverse estate.

This is a great opportunity to lead the delivery of the capital projects programme, you will be accountable for delivering major projects and small works.

What will you be doing?

* Managing the technical integrity and processes of large complex construction projects, mainly CAT B office refurbishment
* Take ownership and demonstrate leadership by managing and directing the project team, delivering all projects from inception to handover and operations by providing a professional client-side Project Management service to successfully deliver capital works projects.
* Chairing meetings with design teams, cost consultants, contractors and other specialists
* Monitoring project progress, produce reports and work schedules and identify corrective actions within the project team to ensure projects are always delivered safely and on time, on budget to meet the specified quality of the agreed design
* Adopting a rigorous approach to the control of cost, quality, change management and programme by implementing project tools and procedures, standards and documentation

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Previous commercial office fit out experience
* Extensive experience in Property, Facilities and or Construction (client side)
* Deep understanding of project management + supplier relationship management with a strong focus on delivery
* Strong analytical capabilities and excellent numerical aptitude
* Able to deal with ambiguity and have experience of designing solutions collaboratively across a wide stakeholder group

Desirable Skills and Experience

* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience, and evidence of continuing professional development
* Project Management qualification Methodology such as Prince 2 or APM
