Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a C, E & I Discipline Lead Support Engineer with experience in the Nuclear Industry.

The BEP EPC project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants,

The work will be carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the BEP project.

Key responsibilities:

The project is executed from a number of locations. Liaison will be required with all the Project team members in the offices in Stockton-On-Tees, Birchwood, Westlakes and Chorley.

To support the C, E & I Discipline Lead Engineer in adopting a pragmatic approach to the C, E & I engineering design and the standardisation of designs across the plant. To provide advice and guidance to the C, E & I Area Lead Engineers on compliance with relevant legal requirements, Cumbria, North West Ltd standards, European and British Standards, non-European standards and project procedures. To coordinate the production of common C, E & I Technical Specifications across all areas and to liaise with the Cumbria, North West Ltd C, E & I Intelligent Customer (IC) to ensure the C, E & I design aligns with the project’s “Fit for Purpose” design philosophy and the IC’s expectations.

Skills / Qualifications

* An experienced Senior, Principal or Lead C, E & I Engineer.
* Recent Nuclear experience
* Professional engineer, degree qualified and registered as a Chartered Engineer with an appropriate institution.
* Working within a JV environment.
* The ability to obtain BPSS clearance is essential for continuance in the role.
* Competent with Microsoft Office software.
* Familiar with software used by the C, E & I discipline including Cumbria, North West Ltd’s CONCISE and the AVEVA Electrical and Instrumentation packages. Familiarity with other Cumbria, North West Ltd Computer Aided Engineering packages would be an advantage.
