Through the application of industrial expertise, our Industrial Advisory team acts as both a standalone business and supports AECOM projects in the UK&I region and also globally:-

Our Process Led Design approach guides our architects and related design teams to deliver industrial facilities that are focused upon the long-term operational goals of the client.

Our manufacturing knowledge has translated automotive practices and thinking into construction industry projects.

*

Our factory gained automation experience brings new perspectives to transport infrastructure projects such as the rail and aviation industries.

*

Our process improvement practitioners through the application of LEAN and Six Sigma have further unlocked new thinking to make efficiencies for our clients in Defence, Global Retail and Construction.

We are currently recruiting for a highly experienced professional to lead our Industrial Advisory team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical and commercial success of this team.

Candidates will be expected to work in partnership with your senior management team to:

Lead and grow the business

*

Develop and deliver business strategy

*

Market the business to internal and external clients

*

Develop a healthy project pipeline

*

Confirm that technical excellence in projects is delivered

*

Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of staff is met

Minimum Requirements

*

You will be an experienced, approachable business leader, demonstrating exemplar leadership skills with the ability to manage both vertically and horizontally within a multi-disciplinary environment.

*

You will have significant and demonstrable experience in the manufacturing, construction, logistics and consultancy industries.

*

You will demonstrate a broad range of project experience that provides an appreciation for mechanical, electrical, controls and process improvement aspects of manufacturing or complex engineering projects.

*

You will have sound knowledge of Continuous Improvement processes and the application of Lean principles and Six Sigma to projects across different industries.

*

You will be able to demonstrate a successful background in leading and managing high profile and multi-disciplinary projects, across multiple geographies and cultures.

*

You will have excellent financial and programme delivery management capabilities.

*

You will demonstrate excellent initiative and a desire for dealing with complex areas of management.

*

You will have a very good understanding of relevant markets and the opportunities they bring.

*

You will be expert in the analysis of potential market sectors and the creation and delivery of business strategy.

*

You will be expert in work winning and business development, and possess the necessary hard and soft skills to be successful.

*

You will be confident in the production and presentation of bids; and be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively across all levels, from shop floor to senior management.

*

You will be flexible and willing to work away from the office to meet our client or business demands.

*

We envisage that the role will be based in either our Birmingham or Swindon offices, however there will be a need for regular travel to other locations, mainly across the UK, but also Europe and further afield as required.
