Job Description Summary
A Business Analyst Role within Group Transformation.
Lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization through concept development and user story writing to support development and deployment as a business analyst subject matter expert
Support the Product Owner to ensure Labs and Teams make the right choices in the changes they execute to ensure investment is made in the right business solution with a focus on the items of highest value to the customer and the business. Works across the lifecycle to understand the impact of the change on the organisation across all dimensions.
Focus requirements gathering on improved usability, user experience, and driving user adoption and engagement. Identify core business needs and decompose and document in concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and user stories and document business rules and construct workflow diagrams, as needed. Analyse complex business processes into clear and actionable user stories with thorough acceptance criteria.
Support the development and maintenance of the business architecture artefacts and documentation of the associated operating model, and changes to the customer journeys and colleague processes.
Work with IT and mission stakeholders to review, update, and maintain business process roadmap of the to-be system and evaluate areas of reengineering by outlining potential to-be processes.
A Business Analyst at this level may also be expected to perform the role of a Scrum Master, which is a leadership role that blends both deep domain expertise with a passion for managing a project end-to-end on its own. The main role of the Scrum Master would be to shaping the product backlog, help develop sprint plans and ensure deliverables are achieved in alignment to Lab structure of the "What” to be achieved and liaising with Scrum team to ensure “How” are in line with Group strategy.Dynamic and adaptable - Ability to use & learn new skills & knowledge in varying circumstances
Great Communicator with extensive stakeholder management experience; able to identify key players in delivering the business outcome and to ensure that their needs are fully represented. Capable of delivering clear messages to a variety of stakeholders and teams providing clear understanding for colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
Regularly challenge the status quo, always looking for chances to improve how we do things operationally and technically, work collaboratively and flexibly across a number of tasks at once
Ability to facilitate efficient and effective decision making
Ability to validate designs & solutions , Driven by a ‘right first time’ attitude where quality and depth of thought is evident in all deliverables produced

Negotiator – ability to ensure all parties feel understood & are satisfied with outcome. Ability to resolve misunderstandings

The successful candidate MUST have at least 3 years of recent financial crime experience with ability to understand Financial Crime policies and regulations. In-depth experience in a business analysis role, with specific experience in Financial Crime and Fraud, including strong knowledge of the relevant regulations and policies. 10 years of experience with overall technology and BA / Requirements analyst role
Influenced the Lab strategy as well as the business objectives and experience of delivering projects using agile methodology (Essential Agile Trained in Scrum, Kanban) and familiar with tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Making full use of agile methodology, including writing high quality user stories that include clear, concise and easily understood acceptance criteria. Learn to fail fast and deliver quickly
Solid understanding of business analysis and business architecture methodologies and techniques (around Data, Process, Technology & Governance) and their practical application, particularly analytical thinking and problem solving.
Experienced in multiple process design disciplines such as Operating Model definition, ‘As Is’ & ‘To Be’ process model development and data modelling
Experience of systems thinking, business architecture and agile change delivery which can be used to influence and drive consistent ways of working
Experience in Business consulting including business process re-engineering / transformation engagements / Optimisation, Operational excellence (Lean Principles and Six Sigma framework), banking operating model and process frameworks, along with techniques to analyse and improve them by Change Management processes
Financial Crime Certification will be very positively considered
Worked on both large scale and small projects and was responsible for defining and designing business solutions, and while not essential, experience of implementing financial crime or fraud systems, including developing rules, typologies, algorithms and machine learning would be very welcome.
Develop testing strategy and design test scenario’s and conditions ensuring all requirements in scope and part of e2e to testing are tested
Exposure to operational processes (including KYC) in an Financial sector environment would be beneficial
Should be familiar with emerging Digital and Technology concepts like Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning etc.,
Experience in liaising with an offshore/near shore development teams will be an added advantage
LBG experience will be an added value to inculcate LBG Way of working and Culture
Support Product Owner to understand business problems, critically evaluating business ideas from a customer and a commercial point of view. Identify underlying business needs to be addressed, challenge existing practices and ensure requirements will address the defined business problem
Support the Product Owner and responsible to validate requirements and proposed solutions with stakeholders and gain approval
Responsible for alignment of requirements, proposed solutions and Target Operating Models to the Value Stream Architecture and Group Strategy, Group policies and all regulatory and statutory requirements..
Responsible to facilitate managing the product backlog – Work with the Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and the delivery team to ensure consistent understanding of the proposed solution and assist with elaboration, sprint planning activities etc.
Active contribution in defining and updating the operating model and associated operating model and process documentation.
Provide domain knowledge and analysis capability, typically to identify additional business opportunities
Responsible to translate these business needs into project objectives, features and requirements. Challenge business stakeholders to drive out the real business outcomes that are required to realise the customer and business propositions; not simply recording requirements
Adopt a service design mentality, responsible for ensuring a balanced and cohesive outcome encompassing customer experience design, operation design and solution design, including the identification and resolution of macro and micro design decisions
Responsible for closing down debate on requirements scope and detail in order to keep the delivery on track. Engage with stakeholders to resolve conflicting requirements as appropriate,
Support Feature Team with testing preparation, automation and acceptance testing to ensure the solution meets the identified business need

Salary Range - £63,000 - £85, 000 p.a. (NOT THE £54,117- £60,130 QUOTED ABOVE)
Flex benefit payments based on (4% salary) and Car allowance (£4,080 pa).
