Energy Solutions design, install, monitor, maintain and optimise building control systems and are part of SSE's Distributed Energy division developing solutions for smart places - cities, campuses and buildings.

What you'll be doing

You'll be working across the North West region and due to team growth, we've a new opening for an experienced Building Energy Management Systems Support Engineer to join our team based in Altrincham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated BEMS Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team.

A varied role, you could be carrying out scheduled maintenance activities one day at a major hospital to upgrading controller at a pharmaceutical site or initiating an energy reduction initiative the next.

We're a regional business and as such you'll be working within the North West, so if you are looking to reduce your time away from home and long days through travel then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

You'll be responding to various customer service calls. Whether they be emergency or scheduled, on site or remotely you'll carry out full checks, analyse and diagnose problems through testing system components, allowing you to discuss the best course of action with your customers. You'll be confident in identifying actions/equipment required and providing timescales around the resolution and highlighting any potential improvement or upgrade opportunities. There's some paperwork involved as your customers will expect to receive written service reports & field quotes on a daily basis; and your line manager will require timesheets and other necessary weekly information (like expenses) which must be delivered in a timely manner, so being highly organised is a key element of the role.

What do I need?

You'll possess excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain a collaborative working environment with all stakeholders, including customer and external service providers. You'll have excellent customer service levels with a professional approach, and a dedication to meeting customer expectations, including delivering technical support, coaching and direction. You'll be working in an agile working environment and as such you'll be adaptable and flexible as there is a requirement to take part in a rotational on call rota.

You'll be highly experienced in Tridium and experience in Trend and/or Siemens BEMS would also be highly beneficial and ideally be familiar with the following building control systems; Schneider Electric, Delta, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or Cylon.

Due to the nature of this role, a full driving license is essential.
