Job Summary

Overall Purpose of the Position

*

To deliver exceptional BIM/Information Management service to facilitate the delivery of projects

*

To support AECOM Design Teams and external architects in the BIM/information management of the design process

*

To support the growth of the BIM/Information Management team in the UK and manage a team of staff to deliver an exceptional BIM/Information Management service to the project

*

To forge relationships with architects and engineers across AECOM and externally

Summary of Duties

General

*

Define Scope of Roles and Responsibilities on a project

*

Establish and Implement BIM/Information Management Procedures

*

Manage Communication, Information Exchange/Flow

*

Manage information quality and quality assurance procedures

*

Create workflows and Monitor/Control Progress

*

Coordinate information exchange

*

Ensures the security of all digital project information

*

Prepare, agree and communicate project Information Management plans to deliver the service with support of Design Management team.

*

Ensure effective communications systems are in place.

*

Deliver training to staff on information management systems

*

Support Design Management team in establishing and implementing design procedures and necessary for successful delivery.

Technical

*

Working knowledge of BS/PAS1192/ ISO19650

*

Prepare BIM Execution Plan for Projects

*

Support implementation / management of BIM during design, construction and handover (level of involvement varies on a project basis)

*

Understanding of quality management systems

*

Knowledge of digital handover process

*

Manage CDEs (Common Data Environments) including Asite, Viewpoint/ 4Projects, ProjectWise, Autodesk 360 and Aconex

*

Introduce more sophisticated technologies and/or methodologies to improve the efficiency of communication

*

Contributes to technical project documentation deliverables, taking responsibility of accuracy and flow of content

*

Assesses capability and training needs and proactively implements training and support when required.

*

Responsible for verifying final Project Information Models against the Master Information Delivery Plans

Minimum Requirements

*

Working knowledge of BS/PAS1192/ ISO19650

*

Construction related qualification

*

Understanding of quality management systems

*

Knowledge of digital handover process

Preferred Qualifications

* Construction related Degree
