As a Deal Project Manager/Contracts Administrator, you are responsible to take the lead for the deal contracting process for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the contracts process for the most strategic and complex multi pillar transactions within the company.
The Deal Project Manager/Contracts Administrator facilitates and coordinates discussions among internal Oracle stakeholders (e.g., Sales, General Council, Business Approvers, Revenue Recognition, Credit, Tax, Migrations, Quoting, LMS, OSS, OFD, Deal Specialists etc.) to reach internal agreement on non routine/complex contracting scenarios and contracting terms.An ideal member of our team has a strong work ethic and is able to perform under pressure and tight deadlines. You must have supported sales team(s) in the past. A background in project management with an emphasis on contracts is preferred. The role requires outstanding verbal and written communication, both internally and externally in English and French Canadian. You must have effectively managed situations where internal policies/approvals are not clear and require additional research and stakeholder engagement. You need great teamwork skills and the ability to see the big picture in order to improve the organization with constructive feedback.The work is fast-paced and seasonal in nature, you will work long hours under pressure with a very close-knit team corresponding with Oracle’s quarterly and annual fiscal cycles. Advanced fluency in English (both verbal and written) is essential.
Advanced fluency in French Canadian (both verbal and written) is essential.
Experience with drafting, editing, and negotiating contract documents essential.
8+ years’ experience in Contracts/Business or similar discipline.
Proficiency in email, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and analytical skills.
Organized and detail-oriented. Ability to work independently and effectively with ability to multi-task and prioritize under time critical deadlines.
Ability to think clearly and rapidly under pressure.
Ability to work well with, as well as lead, multiple organizations in a team environment.
Prior experience in high tech industry or professional services industry preferred.
Experience with government and education (federal and/or local government) contracts preferred.
Act as the Deal Management contracting process lead, for deals meeting regional criteria for Deal Project Manager engagements.
Facilitate and coordinate internal discussions among functional stakeholders (Sales, General Counsel, Business Approvers, Revenue Recognition, Credit, Tax, Migrations, Quoting, LMS, OSS, OFD, Deal Specialists etc.) including international to reach practical business solutions to complex contracting issues, and provides stakeholders with any contract documents necessary for a thorough evaluation of issues.
Articulate to Sales internally, and to Customers in Customer negotiations, the rationale behind Oracle policy and contract terms.
Assist customers, both internal and external, with license contract interpretation, negotiations and administration of licensing agreements, including extensions, new business, invoicing, credit holds, receivable issues and consolidations.
Engage General Counsel for complex contracting language requirements and defer to their direction in complex contracting scenarios.
Provide expert advice to Sales on applying Oracle policies as they relate to specific contract terms and advise to ensure successful administration on complex non-standard business deals.
Advise Sales on the appropriate terminology to include in approval requests to ensure contract term requests are clear and unambiguous, allowing the Oracle Business Approvers to make informed decisions and Deal Specialists to successfully, and efficiently draft final contracts.
Proactively manage deal close plan, facilitating involvement and end-to-end commitment from all parties from deal initiation until the process has concluded.
Adhere to the agreed rules of engagement between Deal Management and all other Oracle internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, General Counsel, Business Approvers, Revenue Recognition, Credit, Tax, Migrations, Quoting, LMS, OSS, OFD, Deal Specialists etc).
Anticipate problems and initiates actions to ensure managed deals are processed efficiently.
Act as mentor and coach to less experienced Deal Project Managers/Specialists within the team, assisting those Deal Project Managers/Specialists to find solutions to highly complex scenarios.
Collaborating with and provide guidance to the Deal Specialists responsible for drafting the Managed deals.
Complete review of the contract documents prepared by Deal Specialists to ensure all contract terms have been appropriately approved by Oracle and the contract reflects all negotiated commitments before releasing to contract packages to Regional Revenue Recognition to ensure contract is in accordance with all accounting rules.

Processes and invoices customer orders in accordance with agreed contracts. Monitors contract and business terms to mitigate Oracle*s risk.
As a member of Contract Management you will assist customers, both internal and external, with license contract interpretation, negotiations and administration of licensing agreements including extensions, new business, invoicing, credit holds, receivable issues and consolidations. Draft and negotiate standard and non-standard contracts. Act as a liaison between consultants, Credit, License, Tax, Business Practices, Revenue accounting, and customers to resolve contractual and consulting business issues. Validate all aspects of contract packages for accuracy and compliance with Oracle*s Business Practices and Consulting Business Approvals/Process while maintaining customer satisfaction and responsiveness. Submit contract order packages to Revenue accounting for order processing and project funding. Anticipate problems and initiate actions to ensure customer orders are processed efficiently. Prepare contract status reports.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical communication skills. Organized, detail oriented, and time management skills. Experience drafting and negotiating complex commerical, federal, state, and/or local government contracts. Ability to work effectively under time critical deadlines. Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS. Proficient in Email, MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of Oracle policies and procedures desired. 8 year experience in drafting and negotiating fixed price and time and materials commercial, federal, state, and/or local government contracts. BA/BS degree in Business; MA or Law degree or equivalent. Prior experience in high tech industry, consulting, or professional services industry preferred.
