WHAT TO EXPECT
Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.
As the Battery Research Lead, your main focus will be to lead research projects in the critical field of energy storage. You'll also be responsible for the quality of results and the findings generated. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented specialist to join a dynamic, growing team and enable the translation of your ideas into reality.
You'll analyse and present results to enable optimum decision making and maximise the exploitation of the results achieved, ensuring good handover of technology to stakeholders. Additionally, you'll win and lead externally funded project consortiums and develop of proof-of-concept technologies with support from key suppliers.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
As the Battery Research Lead you'll have outstanding technical knowledge and the personal drive to redefine the limits of technology capability. We're looking for significant experience in battery research, development, or manufacturing process development as well as experience in optimising battery attributes.
You'll have the ability to analyse and write technical reports, communicating information to both technical and non-technical audiences. A relevant degree (engineering, material science, chemistry) is preferred, as is experience of vehicle electrification. You’ll round out your technical expertise with the ability to work independently, as well as the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment.
