WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Autonomous Driving Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

In your new role as a Automated Driving Engineer, you are responsible for undertaking the functional design activities in the early stages of the feature definition. These activities provide a consistent systems engineering approach to support in the user/customer requirements specification in form of documents and models which customer requirements specification. By using model-based systems engineering techniques, the team contributes to the overall understanding of the expected feature functionality.

You’ll support virtual and physical builds and communicate current issues to relevant teams to ensure all receive maximum exposure, and ensure are dealt with effectively to assist, improve, and sustain product quality.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

With a background in automotive or similar background, you’ll have a strong understanding of the legal compliance requirements that apply to Functional Safety and Systems Quality. An experienced Systems Engineer, you’ll be confident in system architecture design and capturing new requirements. Your knowledge and experience also includes Quality Methods, Vehicle and Module Validation concepts and Functional Safety (ISO26262).

Ideally, you’ll be educated to degree level in computer science, mathematics, robotics or a related technical field, or you’ll have equivalent practical experience. You’ll be proficient with use of programming languages including C++, Python.

To provide accurate project and status updates you’ll need the ability to create reports and analyse and interpret statistical data based on various key metrics. You’ll be a strong communicator and you’ll have the confidence to present to stakeholders at all levels.

With effective leadership skills, you’ll have the ability to coordinate and support groups of people through complex processes in a fast paced and demanding environment. You’ll be a highly motivated and proactive individual, with the flexibility to travel within UK and overseas to support facility buy-offs and our global test facilities for extended periods of time.
