Position Title Associcate M&E Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

Our Oxford Cost Management business unit continues to grow to service the Commercial, Residential, Industrial and Cultural markets where it has successfully secured positions with many high profile clients and some of the largest projects and programs in the industry. As a direct result of this growth it is currently seeking a full time Associate M&E Quantity Surveyor.

As Associate Cost Manager will be expected to work with a Associate Director & Project Director to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects.

Production of cost plans and estimates.

Value engineering input during project design stages.

*

Input to procurement

*

Post-contract cost management including agreement of variations, interim valuations, cost reporting and final account agreement.

As the Senior Cost Manager you should possess the skills and experience to lead and manage a team on a technically complex project between typically £5m and £50m, and for developing collaborative relationships with our clients and other team members.

Day to day main client point of contact for projects.

*

Manage and mentor junior project surveyors to deliver the CM service efficiently and effectively

*

Successful delivery of projects with minimum supervision leading to happy clients and repeat business.

*

Actively participate in Business Development including attendance at local construction events.

Minimum Requirements

Well developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.

Experienced in cost management services.

Possess an understanding of building engineering services design and options.

Ability to communicate with designers regarding system costs and options.

Experience in the following key sectors would be an advantage; Residential, Industrial, Commercial, Culture/Leisure.

A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and ideally a member of a professional Institution or close to achieving professional status.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree qualified in quantity surveying.

Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), although not essential.

CSCS card
