This is a prime opportunity to join a leading global company at a busy and exciting time, to work on high quality projects in the UK and around the world. It’s an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven 3d artist to join our growing London team within our wider EMEA Visualisation & VR group. Reporting directly to the VR Manager, you will be play a pivotal role in our goal to deliver industry leading and award-winning visual communication tools and solutions. You will develop your existing industry experience and be a part of the team delivering innovative, interactive solutions for our various architectural, engineering and infrastructure clients; both national and international - on a wide range of projects.

You will be working as a team member on a wide variety VR projects, serving the multiple sectors which AECOM operates within. The position would suit an applicant with a few years’ experience; but we are also open to hearing from recent graduates / someone soon to graduate with a creative visualisation degree, or similar motivated individuals with proven skills (be they self-taught or industry trained).

We are looking for a candidate who has either self-taught or completed education within VR & Visualisation. The essential skills to begin this process are 3D Studio Max and Unreal Engine. Experience of the AEC or gaming industry, experience of Unreal Engine or Unity, and expertise in video editing software would give you a distinct advantage. We hope to expect to see a portfolio and / or show-reel of your work for the interview stage.

The successful candidate should be able to work to tight deadlines and be comfortable working both as part of a team and individually. They will also have a good eye for detail and composition.

Responsibilities of the role include:

*

Assisting the existing team of VR technologists with project work.

*

To work closely with the art team and art director taking visual and technical direction.

*

Produce consistently high quality and high performing assets and worlds.

*

Work alongside design and code to develop immersive and compelling environments.

*

Being efficient with your time and managing the assigned workload.

*

Be eager to learn; passionate about full immersive mediums, and keen to keep up to date with the latest industry trends.

The ideal candidate for this role would ideally:

*

Be competent in 3DS Max, Unreal Engine

*

Have a background in 3D visualization or gaming industry

*

Strong 3d modelling skills, namely low and high poly modelling knowledge as well as LODs creation.

*

Have experience texturing, lighting, rendering and post-production workflows

*

Knowledge of a range of texturing techniques including traditional diffuse and PBR production

*

Familiarity with fundamentals of VR - such as frame rate constraints and the potential for motion sickness

*

Be a creative problem solver / be able to think outside the box

*

Be self-motivated with very good attention to detail

*

Have excellent communication and teamwork skills

*

Maintain excellent focus and attention to detail

*

Meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks

*

Be responsive to client requested changes

*

Respond creatively to briefs and project requirements to meet team, project and business goals

*

Adapt to evolving technology, software and business needs quickly and effectively

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Visualisation, Computer Games or other relevant degree

*

Or have experience working in visualization

*

Or demonstrate the capability and potential to build a career in the industry
