Assistant Site Welfare Set Up Manager The Role: Here within the Anglian Water @one Alliance we are a totally collaborative organisation
made up of our seven partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB,
MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, delivering over half
of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
We are heading into our latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP 7 and this will see
us deliver a £1.4bn programme of work over the next five years. Are you ready to join us as
we gear up to deliver the most exciting and innovative AMP we have ever seen?
Whether we are building state-of-the-art Water Treatment Centres or using the very best in
'no-dig' technology to improve sewer networks, whilst causing minimal disruption to
customers, we are always at the forefront of innovation, pushing ourselves further and
further.
With a large number of sites based around our region, it is essential our places of work are
set up efficiently and safely to ensure we can meet our project time frames in the safest way
possible. To be responsible for logistics operations involving installing welfare facility
compounds along with welfare facilities for all the projects, we are looking for an Assistant
Site Welfare Set up Manager to join the Construction team! What will you be doing as our new Assistant Site Welfare Set up Manager? Working alongside another Assistant Site Welfare Set up Manager reporting to the Logistics
Manager, you’ll lead a sub team to organise sites in all Anglian Water geographical areas of
the project ensuring a high level of safety, effective planning, execution and review is
achieved.

Key Responsibilities:  Ensure teams are working to the safety standards expected by issuing alerts and

holding briefings in a timely manner  Organise and plan labour in most cost-effective way  Oversee team performance ensuring specifications and work instructions are being

adhered to whilst coaching and developing individuals to meet personal and team

objectives  Arrange and attend site meetings to agree level of welfare required including suitable

electrical power sources  Oversee the environmental impact of your designated sites including implementing

new approaches to reducing carbon emissions  Plan and manage numerous site welfare set ups keeping all project teams up to date  Maintain daily records of events by ensuring required administrative duties and

systems are completed and updated on a timely basis

Person Specification: To join this in this fast paced and vital role, you’ll possess knowledge of groundworks and
have lifting experience via HIAB or cranes with the potential to attend a diploma course to
qualify as Appointed Persons (lifting operations).
A Street Work’s qualifications would be advantageous.
With the ability to assess and change momentum at short notice, you’ll possess strong
written and verbal communication skills and be confident in leading and organising others.
Able to work against tight time frames, your positive attitude and strong MS Office skills will
allow you solve issues in a proactive fashion.
This role does require extensive travel across the Anglian Water region to ensure we provide
the best site welfare set up service possible.
