About the Role:

Working as part of a dedicated Public Health Team, this position is for an experienced Public Health engineer who can bring both experience and technical expertise to the team. In particular, experience of commercial and residential projects in London. The candidate should also have some mentoring skills and a willingness to share knowledge in developing less experienced members of the centre are key attributes. A broad range of experience is also essential to undertake the necessary quality reviews. Experience of high rise design is desirable.

A typical week would include:

* Delivery of high quality Public Health Engineering designs to demanding timescales without compromise of quality

* Attendance of co-ordination meetings with contractors and architects

* Ensuring the technical quality of Public Health Work delivered from the London office

* Training and mentoring of Junior Engineers

* Maintaining and building ‘client’ relationships with other cost centres as well as external clients

* Using your excellent commercial awareness and understanding of project briefs.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering

Experience will be required in both Public Health disposal and supply systems and specifically include knowledge in the following areas;

* The design of domestic hot and cold water services

* Water treatment

* A good level of understanding of sustainability issues and their impact upon Public Health Engineering Design

* Sanitary Drainage systems design

* Rainwater Disposal system design including surface water attenuation

* A good understanding of Legionella and water quality principles and their application in design and maintenance

* Rainwater Harvesting and Greywater systems

* Buried drainage design

* Sprinkler systems design

* Wet and dry riser systems design

* Gaseous and foam fire suppression design
