Job Summary

As Assistant Project Manager, you will work with and support the project team on the delivery of major highways projects, contributing to quality management, cost control, and progress reporting.

This includes:

*

Providing support to Project Managers keeping programme registers and cost information up to date.

*

Supporting project quality assurance and identifying ways of eliminating causes of unsatisfactory performance.

*

Coordinating and contributing towards key deliverables of the monthly reporting cycle.

*

Managing the compilation of project and programme-level reporting within AECOM and the client project teams, escalating key risks and issues. This includes earned value management, financial forecasting and schedule updates.

*

Assisting with budget and cost control, preparing and updating Estimates to Complete and maintaining the AECOM Project Management system.

*

Supporting project managers with the identification, development, and agreement of change controls.

*

Preparing briefings, dashboards, status reports and progress reports.

*

Managing compliance with the project scope and contract requirements inc project deliverables and suppliers.

*

Attending and participating in project meetings with the client and report against progress.

Minimum Requirements

*

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

*

Experience in a project management or support role.

*

Experience of financial management practices and systems.

*

Knowledge of quality assurance processes and systems.

*

Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

*

Ability to work independently and to defined deadlines in a flexible multi-disciplinary environment.

*

Willingness to develop, learn and progress your career.The role would suit someone with project management experience who is looking to progress to Assistant Project Manager and beyond.

Candidates would have a relevant degree or equivalent work experience.

*

Working towards a professional qualification.

*

Knowledge or awareness of lean management would be an advantage.
