The railway sector has always been one of our core sectors and because of our success in building and maintaining the railway, Amey Consulting has become an industry leader in Rail Design consultancy services. With a growing team of 550+ staff, working across our 12 Rail design offices throughout the UK we are continuing to add to our already extensive and impressive list of project awards.

The role

Due to increased workload we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager . The successful candidate will undertake contribute towards the management of quality, programme, cost and project contribution on numerous projects.

As an Assistant Project Manager at Amey Consulting, you’ll see your work from early design to the very end result, and every project will be different from the last. You’ll feel inspired to challenge yourself, as well as your colleagues. In a typical week you will:

• Assist in the manage of multidisciplinary or single projects in accordance with the requirements of the Project Quality Plans
• Help ensure that all project work is undertaken in compliance with all relevant technical standards including HSEA requirements
• Contribute to the delivery of the company’s agreed financial expectations for the projects portfolio in terms of value, margin and cash
• Contribute to the bid management process on tenders for big opportunities
• Outline cost estimating and management and monitoring of project budgets
• Project planning, programming, cost control and administration
• Maximise operating efficiency, so that projects portfolio is delivered in compliance with the Project Control System to agreed standards and targets

We want to hear from you if:

• Degree qualification to satisfy current entry requirements for professional qualification
• Part way through or recently completed the necessar training requirements for the above professional qualification
• Basic project management experience
• Personal Track Safety AC (PTS AC)
• Environmental awareness Tool box talk
• IOSH working safely
