What is the purpose of the role?
This is an exciting newly created role at Thames Water where you will be responsible for working closely with a variety of senior managers and business areas, to evaluate and understand performance across a range of business and network assets. You will be responsible for ensuring that we have the optimum performance of our assets and understand the health of our assets in a proactive and forward thinking manner. Working on a range of asset programmes, you will research, analyse and prepare papers on asset performance, incorporating the views of other staff as required.
What makes this role unique?
This is a critical role to our business whereby the information gathered and reported on, will notify our business on asset performance and health. Managing one analyst, you will deliver outstanding insight to the asset maintenance manager and will be expected to produce proposals and then embed and deliver the proposals once authorised.
What will this role involve?
Accountable for identifying and delivering of asset performance proposals, you will be responsible for:
Research performance improvement initiatives, carry out analysis, and prepare papers and/or projects as required.
Develop effective initiatives for performance challenges.
Communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to gain insight on asset performance.
Effectively manage the delivery of any identified solutions.
Identifying, monitoring, controlling and reporting on risk and opportunities.
Establish a centre of expertise and knowledge through documenting, sharing and building knowledge.
Develop asset performance policies, standards, systems and processes and provide the business with guidance on this area.
What are we looking for?
To be considered for this role, you will have gained experience of managing programmes from start to finish and will be extremely self-motivated. You will be educated to degree level and it is essential that you are naturally inquisitive in order to truly understand the current asset performance. You will have exceptional communication skills at all levels of an organisation, and previous experience within the water industry would be highly advantageous however you must have a basic awareness and understanding of network performance. A proven track record in project or programme management is key and you will be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver projects to meet both commercial and technical objectives.
Thames Water information and salary details
This role is offering a salary of £35,700 - £48,300 depending on skills and experience and will be based from Clearwater Court in Reading. Due to the nature of the role, you will be expected to travel 2 - 3 days per week around the Thames Water regions and will be required to be in Clearwater Court at least 1 day per week. You must have a full UK driving licence.
