AECOM is built to deliver a better world. We design, build, finance and operate infrastructure assets for governments, businesses and organizations in more than 150 countries. As a fully integrated firm, we connect knowledge and experience across our global network of experts to help clients solve their most complex challenges. We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to work within our Cost Management team in Cambridge.

Predominantly you will be working within the office environment, however you will have the opportunity to see working construction sites. You will work under the close supervision of senior colleagues and the nature of the work can be fast paced to meet the client and project deadlines. The role requires sound logic, analytical and excellent communication skills.

As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, you will be actively involved across all stages of a project. Right from the initial project definition and brief, to design cost appraisal, through to procurement, construction and building use, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients working in teams, alongside other construction professionals (Architects, Engineers and the like). We believe that actually doing the work itself gives the best opportunity to learn, so you can expect to be given responsibility, and will need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team, all whilst receiving the guidance and support to allow you to develop.

AECOM will support you towards a degree in Quantity Surveying and on the job technical Quantity Surveying training will be provided including mentoring by an experienced Quantity Surveyor. Successful candidates will eventually be encouraged and supported by AECOM to achieve chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
