We have an outstanding opportunity leading Cirrus Logic’s UK-based mixed-signal audio applications engineering team. You will have a strong background running semiconductor applications-engineering or other semiconductor field-engineering support teams. You will quickly become a major contributor on ground breaking projects working with our global customers and influencing the scope of projects and project delivery across the organisation. Responsibilities

* Lead applications-engineering staff and activities through product development and production
* Work in collaboration with the VP of the Codecs & Standard Products product line to set direction and strategy for the team
* Work closely with peers in the UK and Austin to optimize Applications loading and processes across the company
* Define team objectives that align with business goals and be accountable for delivery against them
* Directly lead customer communication for support issues and applications-related development projects
* Assess external support requirements (evaluation hardware, software, documentation) for new products, and coordinate the specification and development of deliveries
* Lead definition and implementation of application-level product demonstrations
* Mentor junior team members to grow technical and customer-communication skill from within
* Prioritize and schedule customer support and applications-related development activities
* Manage and review technical documentation, including application notes, product data sheets, and reference-design manuals
* Identify requirements for and coordinate the development and presentation of training materials for field technical staff

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Degree or other higher-level qualification in electronics or other relevant field with substantial and demonstrable experience in applications engineering for audio and power mixed-signal processing, in mobile or consumer products
* A background in leadership and developing high performing teams
* Lab, problem solving, and system-level debugging
* System-level simulation
* Analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits and system-level design fundamentals
* Power electronics, PWM amplifier, or power supply design
* Strong analytical skills and excellent cognitive abilities combined with a logical approach to problem solving
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail
* Self-starting – can demonstrate initiative and deal with constantly evolving priorities and challenging demands
* Analyzes abstract problems and develops straightforward solutions
* Communicates clearly and efficiently, both verbally and written
