THE OPPORTUNITY

The Quality Analytics team uses machine learning and advanced analytics to integrate data from numerous sources throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle and run predictive analytics to identify and prioritise the root causes of product quality issues.

We are currently undergoing an ambitious transformation program that entails building robust analytics solutions to handle the integration, modelling, prediction and inference of all customer quality issues, utilising the best in class data analytics and machine learning tools and methods. We are looking for outstanding problem solvers who are inquisitive and passionate about data-driven change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Designing and developing data pipelines and data models to serve ML-based products

* Ingestion of data from source systems, identifying and resolving data quality and other related issues,

* Designing and developing value-adding ETL to create data assets that are robust and re-usable

* Automation/Industrialisation of pipelines for regular execution in business-critical scenarios

* GCP cloud environment DevOps, architecting and administration.

* Working in agile teams, Data Engineers take responsibility for the quality of the code base as well ensuring that the data is reliable and matches to user needs

* Collecting and analysing user requests and estimating the required effort.

* Keeping up to date with new technology in the Data Engineering and software development disciplines

* Providing support to the wider team in the implementation and usage of Data Engineering applications and tools (e.g. machine learning model deployment).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

* 2+ years of Python or equivalent development experience

* 2+ years of SQL development experience

* Experience in cloud environments: GCP (BigQuery, Kubernetes, Docker) or similar (AWS, Azure)

* Experience of designing complex data pipelines and data architectures

* Proven ability to lead small teams in technical tasks

Desirable:

* Familiarities with orchestration frameworks, like Luigi or Airflow

* Test-driven development and version control (git)

* Containerisation and cloud deployment (Docker)

* Experience working in an Agile project management environment using Scrum

* Process-oriented with great documentation skills

* Data exploration, visualisation in Tableau, Looker, Power BI or similar
