Your role

Are you interested in algorithmic trading? Are you an innovative thinker who enjoys building tools? We’re looking for someone who can:
• Work in and collaborate across the Global Markets front office to deliver regional and global products for equities, ETD, and FX
• Help design and enhance trading algorithms and analytics for the equities, ETD, and FX business
• Analyze the way our clients trade to optimize their interactions with UBS
• Provide execution consultancy on client order flow, including the use of Transaction Cost Analysis
• Research market microstructure and produce analysis for clients

Your team

You will be working in the front office Quantitative Analytics and Development team in London. Our role is to provide trading algorithms and execution consultancy for Electronic Trading for equities, ETD, and FX products. Our team is responsible for building top grade, high performance quant trading models, client analytics, and research on market microstructure.

Your expertise

• At least one degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics
• Experience in equities, ETD, and/or FX products
• Very good understanding of data exploration and modelling
• Good understanding of market dynamics and an ability to explain, visualize, and work with large volumes of market data
• Ideally, experience in
– designing, building, and analyzing algorithmic trading models and/or Smart Order Routers
– analyzing and modelling market micro structure
• Experienced in q/KDB (preferably) or SQL
• Well versed in Computer Science fundamentals and modern software development practices
• Experienced with UNIX utilities and shell scripting
• Ideally, proficient in Java or C++
• Ideally, proficient in at least one of Python, Matlab, and R
• Interested in market structure and trading
• A keen learner who enjoys a challenge
