Support our growing Air Quality team and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.

As an Assistant Air Quality Consultant, you’ll have the chance to provide Air Quality consultancy services for a range of environmental projects for key public and private sector clients. Working with other members of the team, you’ll support a range of infrastructure projects including Smart Motorway and other highway schemes (Highways England), rail schemes (HS2 Ltd and Network Rail) as well as flood risk management schemes (Environment Agency) and international industrial projects. During your time with us, you will have the opportunity to provide robust technical advice to clients on compliance with environmental regulations and issues related to Environmental Impact Assessment and Permitting and work closely with clients’ technical specialists to incorporate detailed aspects of scheme design within environmental assessments. The minimum qualifications for this position are:


A 2:1 degree qualification in a relevant environmental/natural science or engineering discipline.


Relevant UK demonstrable knowledge in Air Quality road/highway assessment work.


This will include Air Quality Assessments for highways schemes or other substantial road transport schemes.


A track record of successful delivery of Air Quality projects to key public and private sector clients. Proven ability to use Air Quality models (such as ADMS, ADMS-Roads, ADMS Urban, Aermod, AirViro, CALROADS, CMAQ and CALPUFF).


There is also a need to have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Environmental Assessment and EIA report writing.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:


Proven ability to work within large multidisciplinary teams.


Proven ability of working on major road schemes.


A full UK driving license would be preferred.
