CIS is part
of the Sky Technology directorate and is responsible for the development and
operation of systems to support our customer management systems and customer
facing online properties. Plus the development and operation of corporate
infrastructure, systems and internal facing online content and services.
CIS is divided into a number of units, namely: Programmes & Planning
(includes CIS Business Operations), Content & Commerce, Customer Business
Systems, Platform Technology and Operational Engineering.

Your key responsibilities:

- To engage
with projects in early phases to ensure alignment with the overall
delivery plan;

- To
understand story requirements and identify optimum test approach;

- To create
and execute high quality test cases;

- To ensure
that defects are reported, escalated and resolved appropriately;

- To support
the delivery of high quality releases on time;

- To liaise
and communicate with the colleagues representing associated partner teams,
building relationships with third parties if required;

- To build and
consolidate relevant experience and expertise in the defined technology
domain;

- To actively
seek to broaden own technical knowledge in partner domains; also to share
knowledge with other test colleagues.

Your
skills:

- Understanding of the SDLC and the role of
Testing therein.

- Review of requirements and creation of Test
cases.

- Strong capability in the execution of Test
cases, management of bugs and Test reporting in accordance with an established
process/methodology.

- Experience of testing in a complex and
demanding technology environment. Telephony and/or Broadband and/or ISP
industry experience would be desirable

- Demonstrable high level of technical knowledge
in respect of given technical domain.

- Strong communication, relationship management
and team working skills.

- Essential Technical skills: Advanced SQL,
PL/SQL, XML, HTML, Unix and scripting.

- Desirable Technical skils: Java, Sed, awk,
J-unit and Selenium
