The Enterprise Security Products (ESP) team is responsible for developing and engineering the Firm?s core security controls, among other things. The technology and solution stack spans all Firm employees as well as external clients of the Institutional Security and Wealth Management Businesses. It consists of home-grown software, 3rd party software, open source products, appliances, and auxiliary services and solutions.
As part of the firm's move to Kubernetes, a series of cloud-native authentication and bridging solutions have to be designed and delivered in order to securely support the migration of applications into the new Public Cloud environment. The move to microservices requires applications to be split out into many components all of which need a common view on identity and also need to authenticate/authorize requests between components using industry standard mechanisms. In addition, proxying solutions will be required to bridge flows to/from the existing GenPop environment hosting much of the data. These solutions include native mTLS, OIDC, OAUTH and Kerberos bridges.
