Your Role and Responsibilities

Our development squads deliver value to customers in both a desktop application and web context using Microsoft C++/.NET and React technologies respectively. Analytics are provided by Java Web services orchestrating both an RDBMS and Solr Text Index. The whole stack can be delivered in a containerised Cloud context providing a step change in time to value for our clients.
* You are able build trust across functions to maximize opportunities and reduce waste.
* You get excited by supporting, mentoring and developing high performing engineers through regular 1:1s, continuous feedback and relationships with team leads.
* You will empower teams by creating an environment they can succeed in, using servant leadership techniques to inject purpose, autonomy and mastery.
* You will guard squads from everyday distractions and keep the focus on the team's true goals.
* You proactively maintain the standards, working practices and behaviours within the team.
* You believe that diverse thinking produces better outcomes and you make sure that everyone's opinion is heard.
* You have a history of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.

Our software solutions are used by more than 2000 law enforcement, national security, military and major commercial organizations in 130 countries across the world to generate actionable intelligence to combat fraudulent, criminal and terrorist activity.

You will arm analysts with multidimensional visual analysis and advanced analytics capabilities so they can quickly uncover hidden connections and patterns in huge data sets. i2 combines cutting edge data storage, word-class analysis tools, visualisation and dissemination capabilities in a single analysis environment.

Our customers fight everything from human trafficking to tiger poaching, insurance fraud to organised crime and you will help them make a difference, every day.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

* An in depth understanding of Agile software development lifecycles and managing green and brownfield product engineering programs.
* Up to date experience in commercial software development both in desktop, web, cloud and enterprise server development.
* Experience in managing programs with complex dependencies.
* Experience of staff goal setting, performance monitoring and career development.
* Experience of influencing and negotiating with the product team to define backlog contents, delivering a balance of value, discovery and technical debt.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

* Experience in managing continuous delivery cycles in Cloud first software environments such as AWS, Azure.
* Experience of managing staff's health and safety, sickness, vacation and salary planning.
