Overview

Renishaw’s Medical and Dental Products Division (MDPD) is looking to recruit an experienced Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) Service Engineer to be based at our Charfield, Gloucestershire site.

The role is to ensure a high standard of service and support is provided to every dental and medical AM machine customer, enabling them to maximise the benefits expected from their investment in a Renishaw product. MDPD customers are using Renishaw equipment as part of a validated production process, so an awareness of quality control and maintaining accurate records is key in this role.

Responsibilities

*
Installation and commissioning of AM systems

*
Providing training for customer AM machine operators

*
Service and support for the Renishaw medical and dental AM product line. This will include maintenance of and upgrades to electro mechanical and/or machine software and optical assemblies

*
Generation and ownership of all service processes, work instructions and supporting documentation

*
Assist in the creation of service plans and management/maintenance of service equipment

Key requirements

*
Engineering background, preferably with experience in machinery service and maintenance

*
HND qualified or equally relevant field service experience in similar role

*
Full passport and driving licence required as regular travel in the U.K. and overseas will be expected

Desirable requirements

*
A practical understanding of metal AM laser systems and electrical equipment

*
Knowledge of machine software systems – PLCs, HMI and particularly user software

* Organised, self-motivated, good written and verbal communication skills
* IT literate
* Methodical and systematic approach to problem solving and record keeping
* The ability to remain confident in customer facing environments
* Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
* Commercially aware
* Professional outlook, smart and presentable
