Salary: Up to £38,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

The Opportunity

A new opportunity has arisen within the Electronic Engineering function for an organised, motivated individual who is looking to support the management ofday-to-day activities of a laboratory and EMC Chamber.

The Role

You will be reporting to the Integration and Proving Team Lead, as the Laboratory Coordinator, you will support the management ofall aspects of the laboratory and EMC Chamber to operate, maintain, improve and support current MBDA Products. You will also ensure adherence to local and UK health and safety standards.

The role will also require the ability to understand, conduct and report on testing in the laboratories, in support of equipment development.

Gain and grow experience of sub-system proving activities. This includes (but is not limited to) on-the-bench testing of equipment and overseeing the operation of test chambers.

What are we looking for?

Experience in creating laboratory procedures: health and safety, risk assessments and COSHH

*

An understanding of test procedures and ability to follow these to conduct tests

*

A basic understanding of electrical & electronic equipment

*

Excellent proven organisational and interpersonal skills

*

A high degree of self-motivation and drive, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

*

Ability to communicate with a wide range of internal stakeholders at both engineering and management levels

*

Responsive and flexible under pressure

*

A basic understanding of the Systems Proving Process is desirable

*

Appropriate training/development will be provided, if required
